Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Linguistics (Phonetics and Phonology) within UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics.
Applications are invited for a permanent position as Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Linguistics at UCD. Candidates must have a PhD in Linguistics. The successful candidate's area of research will focus on Phonetics and Phonology and will complement the existing team of lecturing staff who have specialisms in sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, syntax and semantics. The ability to also teach modules in other subdisciplines of Linguistics e.g. Minority and endangered languages; computational approaches; typology; (second) language acquisition, forensic linguistics etc. at final year undergraduate level would also be welcome. Applicants must have an excellent track record in research commensurate with their career stage. They will have proven experience in and commitment to the teaching of the Linguistics in a university setting. The post is within the multilingual, interdisciplinary School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics and the candidate will also be involved in cross-School teaching.
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,233 - €98,548 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
