Applications are invited for two permant posts of a Technical Officer/Senior Technical Officer within UCD School of Biology and Environmental Science.
The School offers a diverse portfolio of programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including BSc degrees in Environmental Biology, Plant Biology and Zoology, Cell & Molecular Biology, and taught MSc degrees in Applied Environmental Science, Environmental Sustainability (Online), Biological and Biomolecular Science, and Global Change Biology. We also contribute to the BSc degree in Sustainability.
The successful candidate will join the current team of technical staff and will provide support for both the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research activities in the general areas of environmental biology, plant biology and zoology including training of students and researchers as necessary. The appointee will be expected to engage in relevant activities in the field and the laboratory including preparation and tidying up of laboratories for classes and training of students and researchers as necessary.
95 Technical Officer\ 2013 Salary Scale: €45,293 - €59,522 per annum
95 Senior Technical Officer\ 2013 Salary Scale: €53,520 - €70,183 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
