The Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS) is a research facility of the Faculty of Science at The University of Hong Kong, dedicated to providing scientific information to help conserve and sustain Hong Kong’s coastal marine ecosystem.  Information about SWIMS can be found at https://www.swims.hku.hk/.

SWIMS is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Assistant to join our team.  Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. environmental studies, biology, or a related discipline) with at least 3 years’ experience in grant writing, preferably in the area of nature-based solutions.  They should have an excellent commend of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); good communication skills and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to a non-technical audience; strong organizational and project management skills; and the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.  Familiarity with funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other organizations is a plus.
