About University of Rijeka
Founded in 1973, the University of Rijeka is a modern European university based in Rijeka, the third largest city in Croatia.
Students can study various subjects within the following faculties: applied arts, mathematics, economics and business, humanities and social sciences, medicine, biotechnology, physics, engineering, tourism and hospitality management, law, teacher education, informatics, civil engineering, health studies and maritime studies.
Many study programmes (at both bachelor and master's level) are conducted in English including international business, medicine, biotechnology and mathematics.
Students regularly take part in major projects such as the International Student Film Festival, Music Festival Impulse, Festival of Actors’ Academies and others.
For those with a passion for sports, there are plenty of sports clubs to join including swimming, basketball, rowing, football and water polo.

Notable alumni include: Jakov Kitarović, husband of Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, the former President of the Republic of Croatia and Nina Broznić, a cross country skier.
